Discover Your Gifts

Focus Your Strengths

Fulfill Your Potential

You don’t know what you’re capable of

Do you ever feel frustrated, like you just can’t seem to reach your full potential? Do you dread the sound of the alarm clock in the morning as you just try to get through your day? Do you find yourself bored, wishing you were a part of something bigger than yourself?

It doesn’t have to be this way. When you are driven by a God-given vision, it infuses purpose and passion into everything you do.

A lot of people believe that their life has a greater purpose, but they feel “stuck” – caught in the rat race with no chance of escape and no possibility of doing something awesome. They just go through the motions, feeling empty and unfulfilled. They can’t tell if they’re making progress in the right direction because they’re constantly hurrying from one thing to the next, too busy to figure out how to maximize the gifts and talents God gave them.

“Sad will be the day for every man when he becomes absolutely contented with the life he is living, with the thoughts that he is thinking, with the deeds that he is doing, when there is not forever beating at the doors of his soul some great desire to do something larger, which he knows that he was meant and made to do.”

– Phillips Brooks

By understanding your own passions and skills, you can discover the will of God for your life and leverage whatever resources you possess to push past an average existence and do something awesome – no matter where you are or what you have when you start.

Never achieve their childhood dreams

Don’t wonder “what if…?”

When we’re young, we believe we can be and do anything. But somewhere along the line, we settled for something that was “pretty good” instead of God’s best for our lives and we gave up on those dreams. In fact, research done by Scranton University shows that 98% of people will never achieve their childhood dreams. We compromise, and then we get comfortable. Before long, we forget all about our God-given dreams – until it’s too late.

The tendency as humans is to embrace what we know. The tendency as Christians is to stay at our current level, doing the same old thing we’ve always done.

But you were made for more.

God’s plan for your life is bigger and better than anything you can imagine – you just need to see it and connect to it.

The problem with potential

One of the most impactful stories I’ve ever heard was told by author Todd Henry in his book, The Accidental Creative:

“I once heard a South African friend share the reason behind the urgency with which he approaches his work. He said that many people believe that the most valuable land in the world is found in the oil fields of Saudi Arabia, the skyscraper-lined streets of Manhattan, or the diamond mines of South Africa. His contention, however, is that the most valuable land in the world is not in any of these places, but rather in the cemetery, because it is there that we find buried the unsurpassable value of businesses never started, novels never written, and dreams never pursued.”

Your life doesn’t have to end up like theirs – spent but never invested, having existed but never really living. You have the power and God-given ability to change your course.

Here’s what life looks like before you connect to your calling and discover your destiny:

  • Stay stuck in “survival mode”
  • Wonder if what you’re doing is the right thing
  • Waste time trying to figure things out by chance or dumb luck
  • Bounce back and forth between what others think you should be doing
  • Question if you’re even in the will of God for your life
  • Feel stuck, unable to go to the next level

But nothing will ever change until you make a move.

Over $10 BILLION will be spent on personal development this year in the US alone. But conferences and self-help books have limited benefit until you identify and connect to your God-given purpose.

I’ve worked with hundreds of people (who have paid thousands of dollars) to help them live a productive life of purpose and meaning. I’ve seen the excitement that comes as people discover their true talents and the passion that’s generated when they connect to God’s calling on their lives.

In this course, I’ll share how you can live your best life – the one you were created for.

What you’ll learn

Here’s what you’ll learn inside the course:

  • Why stewardship is so important to God and why we need to take it seriously
  • What it looks like to have the heart of a champion (and how you can develop one yourself)
  • How to escape the tyranny of the urgent and focus on what’s truly important
  • The clarity that comes from having personal core values (and how to define your own)
  • Why the work/life balance is a myth (and what you should be striving for instead)
  • The life-changing power of daily habits of how to use them to achieve constant progress
  • How God’s system of multiplication works (how to maximize your talents)
  • The real definition of the word “hustle” and how to apply it intentionally to design a life worth living
  • The power of thinking bigger and how you can overcome a “grasshopper mentality”
  • The reasons why God wants you to enlarge your territory (how to recognize when pain is related to growth and to develop perseverance to keep going)
  • The 4 Levels of Faith you must go through as your dream becomes a reality
  • The 3 Levels of Agreement (the reason why you may not be living your full potential)
  • Why you don’t need everything to be perfect to get started (a seed is all you need)

The course itself won’t (and can’t) straight-out tell you what your unique purpose and abilities are. But it will help point you in the right direction and help you ask the right questions.

This course is exactly what the church needs in this new information age, and nobody better than Mike to bring it to life. The Scriptures reveal to us that our lives have purpose, value and potential because we were made by God. We know that we were made to contribute, to serve others, to pour out our lives in this great call God has given to us. However, we feel overwhelmed by what we are actually to do and where to start. We don’t want to ignore the call, but feel stuck on how to get going on it. That is where this course shines. It brings together the reality of the incredible stewardship of our lives AND a plan to activate it. It is the only course I know of that brings together the biblical foundation of our life’s stewardship with the best in productivity training. Faith-Based Productivity is a gift to anyone who really wants get going on a life of meaning and significance for the glory of God.

Maximize your talents & achieve your full potential

When you connect to your calling and discover your destiny, life looks quite a bit different. Imagine:

  • Being able to see with clarity the vision God has for your life as you learn to see bigger
  • Having confidence from knowing you are in the will of God for your life because you hear His voice and walk in His anointing
  • Making the most of the time and talents you’ve been given after learning how to be a good steward of what God has entrusted to you
  • Finding your “why” and using it to accomplish more than you ever thought possible
  • Eliminating the things that are holding you back from living your best life

For a God-anointed man or woman with a God-given purpose, anything is possible.

Your perspective will either propel you with passion or paralyze you with fear.

Find your “why”

One of the main reasons people don’t reach their full potential is that they try to do everything. But maximizing your potential requires a laser focus on what you’re supposed to be doing at any given time.

“Success is not based on your ability to say “yes” but your ability to say “no.” – Ed Cole

Many people are unsuccessful because they say “yes” to things they shouldn’t be doing. They’re busy, but they’re not productive. They do a lot of things, they don’t move towards their goals and they don’t hit the mark. They keep moving, but without taking the time to seek God and figure out what they’re supposed to be about they end up going in the wrong direction. Finding your “why” is extremely important if you want to live a maximized life.

Once you discover your purpose, it brings intrinsic motivation to your work. It’s the “why” behind everything you do. When you know why you’re doing what you’re doing and how it’s connected to your purpose, it completely changes your perspective of the work that you do.

This course has been so timely for me. If you’re in a transition phase in your life or you’re looking to upgrade your career or personal development, this is the perfect material to help you get where you want to be. I love how organized the course is, and that I can go through the videos at my own pace. There are a lot of ideas on productivity out there, but Mike highlights the best and most important points using great examples and quotes from others and especially from the Bible. Mike’s authentic faith drives him to motivate others. He relays the information in clear and practical ways. He shows not just the path but takes you step by step in order to reach your potential. Faith-Based Productivity has encouraged me greatly and takes me further than I can push myself. Mike’s passion for helping others is evident, and wants to see others succeed while going on the journey with you. This is a very unique course and will inspire anyone who dares to become more!

Meet your guide

Hi, I’m Mike Schmitz. 👋🏼

I am an author, podcaster, and content creator that has been building productivity-based video courses for the last several years (you can see a current list of my projects at my personal site). But Faith-Based Productivity is a little bit different for a couple of reasons. First, it’s based on my own experience as a productivity teacher filtered through the lens of my Bible College degree. You see, when I started on my own productivity journey I was teaching a Bible College class on Personal Management and I started to see how the productivity advice that I was learning from the books and sites I was reading was lining up with the Biblical principles I was studying in the Bible.

I spent quite a bit of time connecting tactical productivity advice to the Biblical principles it was based on, and it dawned on me that productivity is a very Biblical idea. In fact, in Matthew 25 with the parable of the talents, we see that God takes our productivity (or lack of it) VERY seriously.

Ever since then I’ve been on a mission to help people find their own spiritual why behind all the productivity things. I’ve made it my life’s mission to help people answer the question “why am I here?” By inspiring, encouraging, and teaching them how to connect to their calling, discover the destiny, and live the life they were created for. My goal is to help people achieve their full potential, live a life of meaning, and leave a lasting legacy.

I wholeheartedly believe that you were made for amazing things. You have a purpose that only you can fulfill. And I’d be honored to assist you on your journey.

While many “faith” based resources shortchange you on value, that’s not the case with Faith-Based Productivity. Mike communicates excellent productivity resources and connects it to your faith in a way that doesn’t seem forced. If you’ve been looking for a productivity resource that takes your faith into account, there isn’t anything better.

Who is Faith-Based Productivity for?

This course is for people who are serious about making the most of the life they’ve been given. But it’s definitely not for everybody. If you’re looking for 5 quick life hacks to save you 30 minutes per day or how to get to inbox zero, you won’t find that here. What you will find are mental models backed by scripture that will help you ask the right questions. But it’s still up to you to do the work.

How is this different than other productivity courses/systems?

There are a lot of productivity methods out there that try to teach you to do more, but this usually just leads to a greater sense of overwhelm as you continue to just bite off more than you can chew (just one more thing you have to do). Other programs can teach you the processes and systems to make things run more smoothly, but they can’t teach you how to eliminate the clutter and identify your purpose. Faith-Based Productivity is designed to help you eliminate the things that are keeping you stuck so you can go all in on the thing you were made to do.

How does the course work?

The course is broken down into 3 different sections:

  1. Vision – this section is all about developing the proper vision about your future and learning to think bigger.
  2. Purpose – this section teaches you to connect to the right thing at the right moment, providing the “why” behind what you do.
  3. Hustle – this section is about redefining hustle and picking your one thing so you actually achieve your goals.

Each section has several videos which are accompanied by action steps + a PDF course workbook. The videos are short (7-10 minutes) and explain the key concepts, then the action steps & workbook exercises provide the guidance you need to apply the concepts to your personal and professional life. The exercises can’t just tell you what you were made to do, but they can point you in the right direction by asking the right questions so that you can achieve the clarity you’re looking for.

Do I have to believe the Bible to take the course?

No you do not, though I do use scripture references frequently to support my ideas so if you’re turned off by religious conversation than the course probably isn’t for you. That being said, here’s a testimonial from an atheist:

Wow, what can I say! Faith-Based Productivity was just amazing. As an atheist, I had my reservations that I was only going to be converted or told that in order to be productive I must forward the Lord. Sure there are lots of references to this and plenty of bible passages, but I found that a lot of them made sense and I could easily relate. – Michael M, Australia

If you have a growth mindset and are open to new and different ideas, my guess is that you will benefit greatly from going through this course. And if for any reason you are unhappy, you can request a full refund within the first 30 days (per the Teachable terms of service).

What will I get out of this course?

This course will help you look at your situation differently. You’ll learn to think bigger and see opportunity instead of fear. You’ll be able to identify the things that bring you life, and use those as clues to discover your purpose. You’ll also learn how to establish the right habits so that you can achieve your goals and be a good steward of what God has entrusted to you. And the included resources and worksheets will help you apply intentionality to your daily, weekly, and monthly planning so that you can achieve your full potential.

Here’s a rough cut from one of the early videos:

Each full-length video lesson is 7-10 minutes in length and presents one key idea. This makes the course material easy to digest. The videos are broken down into 3 separate modules and there is a recommended viewing order, but you are free to jump to any video at any time.

Each video lesson also includes a couple of simple action steps to help you apply the concepts to your own life. There are exercises and questions in the supplemental course workbook specifically designed to help guide your decision making as you put the information into practice.

I had the opportunity to get into this course early and I can easily say it is soooo worth it! I have struggled to get plans and actions in order for some goals I have had for content creation for almost 2 years. Yet within starting this course, I have gotten almost the same amount done in the last 2 weeks that I had done in almost 2 years time.

Mike is able to breakdown a lot of the what to do, but sometimes more importantly, figuring out the why’s. Then he provides easy and applicable actions steps. Each of these are purposeful, to the point and can help you to go in depth with actionable, obtainable goals. The videos provide the platform and information to build upon, but if utilized with the action steps, the sky is the limit!! I am so excited to see the end result. If you are wondering if this is for you, I would easily say it is! Anyone who has a heartbeat can greatly benefit from this. Whether you are just trying to become more organized, create content, use your time, talents and resources more wisely, and so much more, this is for you! So glad that I have the opportunity to use this amazing course and recommend it for everyone!

I have always appreciated Mike‘s attention to soundness and detail in all he does. I find Faith-Based Productivity to be useful for both Christians and believers of all kinds alike. While some examples are from the Bible, the teaching lessons apply to everybody.

Mike created an exhaustive compendium I haven‘t encountered anywhere else, focusing on one thing only: provide you with the means to find and pursue the fulfilling meaning you were created for.

I think this course will benefit those most that enjoy guidance from biblical parables and stories, but also those that love a good anecdote to drive home a teaching point. I found this connection to be a powerful anchor when walking through life and encountering similar situations.

Mike is covering all steps from searching, finding and fleshing out your successful pursuit, using all state-of-the-art productivity tools available. Providing a context for meaning and purpose every step of the way is how he goes beyond what you would also find elsewhere. You receive a complete and mature product that not only teaches principles but provides examples and action steps for every part of the process, thereby facilitating the experience. Having a pdf version of the course is also a big helper, since there are many worksheets I am actively using to plan, process and review my life.

I am thankful to Mike for creating this course and helping me keep both big and small things aligned with what I am here for. This perspective is in itself fulfilling, making me a happier being altogether.
